Piano Teacher

Matt Mason

Dr. Matt A. Mason is an educator, pianist, composer, and technologist from Lincoln, Illinois. He holds a Ph.D in Music Composition and Theory from the University of Iowa and a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance from Butler University.

Matt is currently on the faculty at Roosevelt University, where he serves as an Assistant Professor of Musicianship, teaching classes in music theory, piano, electronic music, and composition. Matt has taught private and group piano lessons at the Butler Community Arts School in Indianapolis, West Music in Iowa City, and through the inaugural YMCA fine arts program.

Matt is a founding member of the New Third Space Ensemble and a frequent ballet accompanist, advocating for contemporary art and music through community performance and engagement.

Piano Lessons for Kids and Adults in Chicago

We offer piano lessons in Chicago for children as young as age 4 and for adults of all ages. Our experienced piano teachers specialize in working with young beginners, as well as adults who are returning to the piano or starting for the first time.
