Liza Travis

Liza Travis began dancing as a young girl in South Bend Indiana as a member of Southold Dance Theatre. She studied dance at The University of Texas at Austin, graduating with a BFA in Theater and Dance. While in school, she became a member of the Sharir + Bustamante Danceworks, the company in residence at The University of Texas at Austin.
Liza has presented her own work at Austin Community College and the Spareroom in Chicago. Liza teaches pilates and gyrokinesis and recently received her Graduate Laban Certificate in Movement Analysis from Columbia College Chicago. She is looking forward to continuing her somatic education in the spring when she begins the Infant Developmental Movement Educator program through the School for Body-Mind Centering.
She has been dancing with The Moving Architects since 2005.
